April is Community College Month. Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College joined #CCMonth, a monthlong grassroots education and stigma-busting campaign coordinated by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) to improve awareness of the value and need to support community colleges. The primary goals of #CCmonth are to improve awareness of the economic, academic, and equity advantages of attending community colleges and to bust longtime stigmas wrongly associated with public two-year colleges.
Eastern is pleased to announce that the Board of Governors has asked Dr. Thomas Striplin to assume the position of President of Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College. He is expected to assume the office on June 30, 2021, pending final negotiations and Council approval. We welcome Dr. Striplin’s leadership as we enter the next chapter of Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s history.
Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College has expanded its agricultural initiatives with the hiring of a Director of Agriculture Innovation and the recipience of a major grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for Agriculture Workforce Training.
