Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College welcomes Marti Neustadt as Potomac Highlands Virtual Agriculture Business Coach
Eastern recognizes that business coaching is one of the single most important components in assisting entrepreneurs to take their business venture to the next level. In an effort to serve entrepreneurs in new and existing agriculture businesses, Eastern is excited to welcome Ms. Marti Neustadt to serve as the Potomac Highlands Virtual Agriculture Business Coach beginning November 1st. Neustadt has experience working as a business advisor and coach to a variety of agricultural enterprises, including the Woodlands Community Lenders and the Natural Capital Investment Fund. She is a graduate of West Virginia University in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
As part of this role, she will be working with area farmers and producers to strengthen their business operations, through online training and one-on-one assistance. "One of the goals of the food co-op project is to strengthen all farm operations as well as those participating in the co-op. Neustadt's skills and experience in assisting local farming operations will be a real asset to strengthening producers and the local food economy in the Potomac Highland counties," says Amanda West, Potomac Highlands Food Co-op Coordinator. This position is supported by the previously awarded USDA Local Food Promotion Program to develop a Potomac Highlands Food Co-op.
