Business Development and Training
Eastern offers Customized Training programs to employers who wish to provide such specialized training—designed for their specific and particular workplace needs—to some or all of their employees at any level. Some popular trainings include:
- Computer software training
- Customer service training
- Leadership training
The college will partner with any regional industry, business, governmental, non-profit or other employer to deliver training—either of the faculty's own design or through brokered agreements with other training providers—in any area of desired workforce development.
Employers may choose to offer customized trainings at their own facilities, in Eastern's classrooms, or another convenient location.
To aid employers in evaluating the skill proficiency levels of their employees, the Workforce Education Department also provides assessment and testing services by contract.

The Workforce Education Division develops and delivers customer-focused workforce education programs that are customized and tailored through partnerships with the businesses, organizations and individuals in the Potomac Highland communities we serve. Eastern will design the programs specifically for worker-learners in each of four broad categories of our service district's workforce:
- Current Workforce
- Emerging Workforce
- Entrepreneurial Workforce
- Transitional Workforce
These accessible, high quality education and training programs meet or exceed customer goals and expectations by preparing worker-learners to meet the current and future challenges of a global economy and technological workplace. Taking advantage of these programs, worker-learners achieve personal and professional growth while enabling businesses and organizations to develop the employee skills, attitudes and knowledge that will enhance profits and productivity.
Lindsey Teets, Business Coach
Lindsey Teets was raised in Preston County and is a graduate of Tucker County High School. He has a Technical Degree in Aviation Electronics from Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, a Bachelors of Economics from Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia, and a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University. Lindsey is married to Rebecca and they have 5 boys age 6 and under.
Lindsey spent nearly 12 years working in aviation for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, Georgia. There he learned to repair avionics and electro-mechanical systems in on all models of Gulfstream aircraft. After he got his bachelor’s degree he wrote aircraft outfitting contracts and helped redesign the next generations of private and corporate business jets. He managed the interior configurations for 5 production model aircraft and 4 model of aircraft still in research and development.
In January 2016 Lindsey joined the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Eastern WV Community and Technical College, in Moorefield, and has been working with various businesses across Eastern’s service area and has clients in 9 counties in West Virginia and serves clients in 3 states. In his current position with the SBDC Lindsey helps businesses get started, get funding, and to be well managed.
Lindsey also works with his father on their 200+ ewe sheep farm and is expanding to a second farm next year with a plan to double his capacity over the next 3 years.
