Eastern Art Show '13

At Eastern’s 2nd annual Art Show April 26, 2013, several students from Eastern WV Community and Technical College, and from Moorefield and Pendleton County High Schools students (some of whom are also early entrance or dual credit students at Eastern) and other community artists displayed their work in the Resource Center at the college’s Moorefield campus

At the show, Eastern also released volume two of “Eagles Nest”, its literary magazine, under student Chris Windley’s editorship.

Marcie Beyersdorfer, Eastern’s art appreciation instructor, and Holly Landes, Moorefield High School’s art teacher, along with Eastern’s student service specialist Amy Crites and public relations manager Jessica Markwood, provided valuable production assistance for the show, produced by Arts Society of Eastern Students facuty advisor, Curtis Hakala.

“Dedicated, hardworking students like Chris Windley and Ryan Zirk really pitched in, investing themselves and their time to make this show possible,” noted Hakala, Eastern’s instructor and coordinator for developmental education in English, who served as the show’s and magazine’s faculty advisor and producer. “We hope their efforts will inspire others to take part next year.”
