Spring Extravaganza Offers Family Fun, Kids’ Events & Unique Shopping April 26

If you’re looking for family fun, exciting children’s activities and a unique shopping bazaar, it’s all in one place Saturday, April 26, at the third annual Spring Extravaganza in Moorefield. Eastern WV Community and Technical College invites the whole community to drop in — for free admission — from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at its 316 Eastern Drive campus, just off Corridor H/Route 48, two miles east of Moorefield.

Children will enjoy face-painting, balloon sculpting and, from 11:30 to 1:00, “Around The World” adventure visits to Australia, United States and Africa.  The Center Stage Dancers will perform at 11:00, and the 7th WV Infantry Company I will re-enact camp set-up. The day will also feature special demonstrations by the Sheriff of Hardy County, the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department and the National Guard.

Visitors can browse and shop at 22 vendor and information booths for products and services, including photography, hair design, jewelry, spa and beauty, weight loss, home fragrances and décor, cookware, gourmet foods and gift baskets, crafts, saltboxes and gifts.

All that fun and activity can work up appetites, so the Sperrys Run Youth Group and the United Methodist Women will make refreshments available, including chili dogs, sloppy joes, nachos and homemade baked goods.
